Château de Montségur
Perched dramatically on a rocky mountain summit, Château de Montségur is one of France's most atmospheric castles. Originally associated with the Cathars, a medieval Christian movement considered heretical by the Catholic Church, it became the site of one of the most famous sieges in French medieval history.
