The compact and intimate campsite is located in southern Tuscany. The region of Maremma is wooded, but has an extensive coastline with lovely beaches. Outdoor life is the norm here. This playfully landscaped outdoor pool with paddling pool is modest in size, but great fun for families. You can relax in the sun loungers around the pool, or keep an eye on the young ones. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the attractive bar. Walk to the beach You can walk straight onto the sandy beach for even more fun in the water and sand. You can reach this via a footpath through the woods. The beach is quite narrow, so you can easily keep an eye on the children. Behind you lies the pine forest and in front of you the wonderful view of the sea. What a paradise! There is a volleyball court on the beach and a floating platform to dive off. You can also book a canoe or pedalo boat and go out on the water in a sportive way. Thanks to the gradually sloping sea bed, you can let the little ones play and swim in safety. Fun entertainment for children Young families get plenty of attention at Il Gabbiano Camping Village. There is playground equipment and in the summer they offer enjoyable entertainment in Italian or English. If your car is already quite full, it's handy to know that you can simply rent prams, a baby bath or high chair at the campsite. There are enjoyable evenings in high season with live music that you can dance to. Or look for some romance and admire the wonderful sunset on the beach in the evening. Restaurant and campsite shop One of the reasons to go to Italy is for its delicious food. You can of course visit the restaurants in the region for this, but there is also a lovely restaurant on the campsite where you can enjoy a tasty portion of spaghetti. You can go to the campsite shop for your daily supplies and you will find several supermarkets within a five-to-ten-minute drive. Discover nature under and above water If you thought the view above the sea was already beautiful, it's is also beautiful under the water. You can discover this colourful world with a day of snorkelling or diving. A lovely walk through the Maremma Natural Park is also recommended. Or take a look at the ancient Etruscan excavations in Sovana, about an hour's drive from the campsite. The impressive historic cities of Rome and Florence are both around two hours away. Good for a day trip.
