About the area
Falcade developed as a mountain community in the Dolomite region, with its character shaped by alpine traditions and agriculture. The village has maintained its authentic mountain village character while adapting to modern tourism in the Belluno valleys. Belluno has been inhabited since Roman times and was historically part of the Venetian Republic's territories. The province developed significant cultural and commercial importance as a mountain region bridging the Veneto plain and Alpine territories.
