Often called "Germany's Hollywood", this beautifully preserved historic town on the Polish border has stood in for dozens of other cities in over 100 productions, including The Grand Budapest Hotel, Inglourious Basterds, Around the World in 80 Days, and The Book Thief — largely because its architecture survived WWII almost untouched.

Perched dramatically on two volcanic peaks in the Bohemian Paradise landscape, Trosky Castle is one of Czechia's most iconic ruins. Built in the 14th century, the castle's two towers became a symbol of the region.
