The Kerry Way circles the Iveragh Peninsula, largely shadowing the famous Ring of Kerry road but on quieter paths through the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, along Killarney's lakes and the wild Atlantic coast, before returning to its start in Killarney.

Terreno

Varied: old droving roads and boreens, forest tracks, and more remote, boggy mountain sections in the Reeks foothills. Generally good underfoot with clear waymarking (the yellow walking-man symbol), though some coastal stretches are exposed to Atlantic weather.

Consejos

Because it's a loop, you can join or leave at several points if you only want to walk sections — the Killarney-to-Glenbeigh stretch through the Reeks foothills is the most scenic. Book accommodation ahead in the small villages en route, as options are limited.

Permisos y acceso

No permits required.
