- Direct UNESCO Nærøyfjord waterfront location
- Extreme fjord scenery (narrowest major fjord in Europe)
- Access to kayaking, hiking, and boat transport routes
- Short distance to Gudvangen Viking Village
- One of the quietest campsites in the region
A silent fjord-edge campsite at the end of one of the narrowest and most dramatic fjords in the world.
Nærøyfjorden Camping sits directly on the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord in Bakka, just outside Gudvangen. It is one of the most isolated-feeling campsites in the region, surrounded by near-vertical cliffs, still water, and almost no traffic noise. It operates more like a fjord basecamp than a traditional campsite.

About the area
The Nærøyfjord valley has been a route for trade and travel between inland Norway and the western fjords for centuries. The surrounding area is deeply tied to Viking-era navigation routes and fjord farming communities.
